I think I’ve cried at the majority of weddings I’ve shot. I’m a feeler, and I won’t apologize for that. But I can’t remember tearing up as much as I did during Patrick & Phil’s vows. They were so honest, raw, and heartfelt that I think we all felt it really hard.

Those are the kind of weddings that I sit in my car afterwards- sometimes crying, mostly smiling, and just being really thankful that I got to play a tiny role in their day.

Their November 3rd wedding day began at the absolutely gorgeous Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa in Milton, NY. I had wondered if the fall foliage would hold on this late in the season, and I got my answer when I pulled up. Incredible bursts of red, orange, and gold danced through the trees, and the grounds were magnificent with color and positive energy.

Phil & Patrick shared a sweet first look before the ceremony, so we were able to walk the grounds and take pictures at a relaxed pace, which was amazing.

The entire day was perfect- classic, elegant, tasteful, but with a ton of heart poured in. I loved watching the two of them look at each other, and I’m truly honored to have played a role in this day.

I think this is where I say live long & prosper…right? ;)
