Mike & Katie

I knew Katie was special as soon as I met her a few years ago- she lugged a giant harp out into a field and climbed a train trestle in an evening dress all to indulge my photography ideas. 

So I really shouldn’t have been surprised when I learned she not only planned, but DIYed basically her entire wedding. From her shoes to her bouquet to transforming her reception space- she did it all. “Katie, HOW did you learn to do this?” I asked, nodding towards her bouquet. She shrugged, “just watched a Youtube video.” Oh, okay. 

For someone as multi-faceted and talented as Katie, her counterpart better be equally as awesome. Mike is. When I first saw them together, I realized how just dang happy they are when with each other. Constant laughs, silliness, yet sweet tender moments as well. 

I couldn’t have loved their wedding day more. It was perfectly them, and a true celebration of their love. And we took their formals behind a gas station, at a pool store, and on a random person’s front steps. So, that’s a pretty big win in my book.
