Juliana + Brendon | West Point, New York Wedding
I literally could not have loved this wedding more if I tried.
I knew it was going to be a good day when I walked into the hotel wing & heard them before I saw them. Juliana was twer- I mean, dancing, and all of the bridesmaids were having the best time. Just good vibes all around. No stress, no drama. I think that had a lot to do with Juliana’s laid back attitude.
Watching Brendon get their sweet boy Benning ready was precious. In fact, watching Benning the whole day made my mama heart so happy. You could see how absolutely adored he was by not only his parents, but by both of their families and friends. They clearly have a tribe- a really good one.
After the ceremony at West Point’s Catholic Chapel, we headed to Trophy Point for bridal party pictures. However, the bottom dropped out of the sky all of a sudden, so we squeezed in what we could. I assumed Juliana & Brendon would want to take shelter. The wind was whipping, rain was pouring. "Juliana, do you want to go inside?" I asked. "Nope," she said, hiking up her dress and laughing. I love her. They kissed- her hair flying. It was perfect- that’s my kind of couple.
Their reception at the Thayer Hotel did not disappoint. I had a feeling it would be a wild one, and it was. The Digital Musicians Entertainment did an amazing job of keeping the party going (as always) and the crowd was lit. Like, I think J & B have blackmail pictures for years to come of most of the guests, haha.
We ended the night with a romantic sparkler exit (in which someone may have gotten their hand blown off. Jk...I think. I hope.)
I am seriously obsessed with these two humans. They remembered what a wedding day is all about. It’s not about the things, the decor. It’s about your love, your families coming together, celebrating the two of you.
Now, go live it up in Hawaii, you guys!
