(I still haven’t learned Boots on the Ground line dance, but it’s on my to-do list.)
wowww, I haven’t posted since May. Very normal, ve wowww, I haven’t posted since May. Very normal, very cool.

Can I blame it on living it up this summer? I am a summer girl through & through, and hanging out with my babies all day is what I’ve been up to the past few months.

I am devastated summer has come to an end for us (if you are friends with me on Facebook, you might have seen my very emo post about that) so this post is me holding onto the very last drop of that feeling.

I can feel these photos- the salty breeze, the velvet baby skin, a precious family’s deep love for each other. Squeals of delight as tiny toes are dipped into the waves. The soft touch of a mother holding her baby tight as the wind picks up. A lingering glance of a husband seeing his wife in a new light.

(Stay until the end to see my daughter protecting them from the sand storm that whipped us at the end of the session.)
Whyyyy do I feel so weepy over a family I only met Whyyyy do I feel so weepy over a family I only met once?!

But just bearing witness to their joy in this season. A beautiful new home, a precious toddler, and a baby on the way. (And a sweet pup as the cherry on top.)

New beginnings in every sense of the word here. Happiness overflowing. Thank you for letting me get a glimpse.đź’›

A dreary, cold day in uptown was no match for A & N. đź©·
Of course the trendy, cool stuff is fun. Photograp Of course the trendy, cool stuff is fun. Photography can be so subjective, so conceptual- and I love that, I do. I was looking through an article the other day, and felt a little down on myself and my work. “Why doesn’t my work look like a high fashion Vogue shoot?” A model with direct flash and grapes hanging out of her mouth standing on a chair at some French chateau. I felt myself start to slip into that treacherous pit of comparison.

Luckily, I’ve learned how to grip the sides and pull myself back up before I fall too far in.

I love looking at so many varieties of photography. It’s a whole big world out there with incredible talent. But what it all comes back to, for me, is love. Family. Connection. Together. We’re humans and that’s what we are wired for.

This extended family session is just that. 4 generations, with the two that started it all, and their love.

At the end of our time, I think this is what matters. When my journey on earth is wrapping up, I hope to reach for the familiar hands of my loves and remember what all of this was for.
A simple question. A cold January afternoon. She A simple question. A cold January afternoon.

She said yes & we all felt the magic. The cold stopped, the world stopped, all that was left was sparks.
I love when people have no clue as to how incredib I love when people have no clue as to how incredible they are.

Jack showed up to his senior session because his mom made him (of course) and straight up SERVED. Like model vibes. And he had no idea 🤯

Just chilling at his favorite trails, fishing, and vibing while I’m lowkey dying over this undercover model.
