Boudoir Photos Charlotte NC

Boudoir. Pronounced "boo-dwahr" or if you are feeling fancy "boo-dwa." It's French for "bedroom."

I only recently got into this style of photography in the past year, but let me tell you- I am in love. I went into my first session not knowing what to expect, and came away absolutely obsessed with everything about it. It's incredibly empowering and I adore getting to help another woman realize just how beautiful she is. As women, we are pulled in so many directions and sometimes stretched so thin- it's nice to escape all of that for a while and be able to focus on nothing but our sensuality and inner self.

I've done sessions that are sweetly demure, showing just enough skin to pique the interest to the down right steamy, mostly nude sessions that leave little to the imagination. I have found that I am comfortable with every level of it! It's entirely up to you and what you are comfortable with. I always make sure to get a good mix of tasteful & timeless photos, as well as a few very sexy photos sprinkled in.

  • Do go for feminine lingerie sets and pretty pastels. Lighter colors are not only more feminine, but they compliment and flatter your skin tone as well.

  • Do wear lace and silk. Lace, silk, and soft ruffles are not only beautiful, but create stunning visual details.

  • Do embrace florals.

  • Do bring a gorgeous and dainty robe, kimono, or cable knit cardigan. Think soft, feminine, dainty, neutral.

  • Do embrace an oversized cable knit sweater paired with pretty panties.

  • Do go barefoot during your boudoir session for a more classy and soft look.

  • Do consider having your hair, makeup, and nails professionally done beforehand.

  • Do bring little details like perfume bottles, veils, flower crowns, bouquets, etc.

  • Do buy lingerie that flatters your figure. While baby dolls are beautiful on some women, they add volume to others.

  • Do lotion prior to your arrival.

  • Do embrace high-waisted panties, garters, high necklines, and sheer soft lingerie sets.

  • Do wear jewelry, but very sparingly. Think pretty and delicate, and just one or two pieces at a time.

  • Do buy/order all of your lingerie a few weeks in advance. Have questions about what to wear? Send me photos & I'd love to help!

  • Do bring at least 2 outfit changes.

  • Do cut lingerie tags off prior to the session.

  • Do embrace outdoor boudoir! Don't worry, we will go to a private spot. :)

  • Don't mix red and black or red and hot pink. Those combinations automatically shift your session from dainty and classy into something more suggestive.

  • Don't wear bright neon colors- your skin tones will thank you!

  • Don't buy lingerie that is too big or too small.

  • Don't wear anything crotchless or vampy.

  • Don't wear costumes. Save the feather dusters and devil horns for Halloween. ;)

  • Don't tan or fake tan. Trust me. You don't want to look orange! And tan lines are almost impossible to edit out.

  • Don't eat a big meal the day of your session.

  • Don't drink or stay out late the night before. Tired eyes are hard to hide!

  • Don't underestimate the beauty in soft lounge clothes and nighties. You don't have to bare it all to look gorgeous!

  • Don't be nervous or worry about your imperfections. I've got you covered!

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER

We had the best time together, right? :) Assuming you have given me permission to post a particular photo, you can expect to see a "sneak peek" on Facebook in the next few days following our session. I am always so flattered when clients use my photos on social media, I just ask that you give me a tag to help spread the word. Your full gallery will be ready within two weeks of the session, and I will email you the link for access. The download process is simple, but if you have any issues please don't hesitate to contact me. Although you'll receive a print release, you are able to order professional grade prints through your gallery. I cannot stress enough that is does matter where you get your photos printed! www.mpix.com is a more affordable alternative, and is available to the public. I am passionate about getting your photos off of your computer and onto your walls- beautiful canvas wraps, high-quality photo books, and premium prints are all amazing ways to preserve your memories for years to come. A hardcover photo book of your boudoir photos makes an amazing gift. Trust me- he'll love it.

Full payment (cash or check) is due at the time of the session. If you prefer PayPal, I can send you an invoice prior to our session. A 50% deposit will be required, with the remaining balance to be paid before gallery delivery. A 3% tax will be applied to PayPal orders
